ABOUT
Rutger van Gelder
Music producer & Artist

Music begins where words falls short,
and meaning take shape
Rutger is a versatile music producer, educator, and creative entrepreneur with years of experience in music production, including radio imaging, producing for artists, ghostwriting, and performing as a DJ. His production work includes music for renowned radio stations like BBC Radio 1 and Radio FG, and his tracks have received support from leading names in the DJ scene such as Tiësto and David Guetta. As a performer, Rutger draws on his experience behind the decks to translate the raw energy and emotion of the dancefloor into his studio productions—crafting music that connects on a deeper level.
Alongside his creative work, he mentors students in the music and entertainment industry, teaching at the intersection of technology and creativity. He specializes in translating emotion into sound, combining skills in sound design, conceptual thinking, and storytelling to create immersive musical experiences. Rutger is both a thinker and a feeler, always seeking personal growth, meaning, and authenticity—both in his work and in life. Guided by the belief that music can move, transform, and connect, he creates with intention and a deep sense of purpose—always aiming to inspire, whether in the studio, the classroom, or on stage.

I'm a music producer and educator based in the Netherlands. I create music for artists, radio, and live audiences, and guide others in shaping their own sound and creative identity.
With a strong focus on emotional impact and storytelling, I often work behind the scenes—ghostwriting, shaping sonic identities, and developing unique concepts for a range of creative projects. I embrace new tools and technologies early on, not for the sake of novelty, but to push boundaries and stay ahead of where sound is going.
